I was searching for a new role that would allow me to utilize and expand the concierge skills and experience I had gained from my time in 5 star hotels. I was after a job in which I could continue to work with the contacts I had made in the industry and be given the freedom to forge more..
What did you find? I found First Contact, a young growing company providing concierge and hospitality services in a niche corporate market. The friendly Team offered a warm welcome to the corporate environment and gave me everything I needed to succeed and working only business hours Monday to Friday provided a work life balance unheard of in the hotel industry.
How did you succeed? Within the first few months of employment I had worked in several premium buildings in the Sydney CBD which gave me great insight into how a large corporate building operates and also allowed me to meet the majority of the NSW First Contact Team. After a short time I moved permanently to a single site to which my knowledge, skills and personality were matched. With the fast growth of the company it wasn’t long before I was recommended for the Head Concierge role that I continue to enjoy working in till this day.
